Next weekend, 24 Raceway has scheduled not one, but two racing events. Friday night, June 1 will will see some motorcyle racing action at the steep-banked dirt track in Moberly by the National Flat Track Racing Association. Some 18 or so classes for motorcycles, including modern, vintage, youth and ATV racing will take place starting at 7:30 pm. Gates are set to open at 6pm, with tickets priced at $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 to 12 years of age. Five and under are free. The sponsor for the evening is Mid America Harley Davidson of Columbia, and some of their new bikes can be seen at various displays in the grandstand area. Saturday night, stock car racing returns to 24 Raceway for June 2, and brings back the monthly visit by the Classic Dwarf / ModLites after being rained out of their May scheduled date. Joining the Dwarf Car Association will be the five regular classes of A-Modifieds, Moberly Motors B-Modifieds, the MFA Oil / Breaktime Sportsman class, Hobby Stocks and 4 cly. Hornets. Admission is $10 to the grandstand for adults, with kids, ages 6 to 12, at $5 to see the five regular classes and dwarf cars. Rates for the Family Pass are $25, and that includes admission to the grandstands for 2 adults and 3 children, ages 6 to 12. Kids under 6 are always free. The grandstands will open at 4 p.m. Hot laps at 6:15 following a short drivers' meeting. Automobile "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" will take place again at 7pm at 24 Raceway, east of Moberly, Missouri on U.S. Highway 24.
