PACTICE POSTPHONED TO SUNDAY, BUT PARTY'S STILL ON AT 24
RACEWAY FOR SATURDAY
by: Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway
MOBERLY, MO (Oct 13) - Mother Nature struck during the daytime, so the practice,
known as "Play Day" is now moved to Sunday with same info at 24 Raceway,
Moberly, MO. Well, we did need the rain. However, once more the track is going
to be open for practice laps all afternoon on Sunday, October 14th from 1 to
6pm. It's to be for qualified drivers of all classes with a $10 admission per
person entering the pit area. A signed release will be mandatory. This practice
includes late models, sprints and dwarf cars. General bleacher viewing is free,
but the concession stand will only be open in the pit area, and will have plenty
of pork sandwiches available. The general plan is for a couple of cars allowed
on the track at a time for six laps, and then return to the end of the line
waiting to enter.
Pig roast is still on for Saturday evening at 6pm but now at the shop area near
Highway 24. The beer kegs are courtesy of Miller Beer's Mark Twain Distribution.
A TV is set up for bringing NASCAR's race from the Charlotte track to the garage
area - and bring-your-own-lawn-chair seating. A $5 donation going towards the
two hogs being purchased and prepared would be the requested price. Enjoy the
companionship and company of those who have an affection for racing, one more
time before the January awards banquet.
