LIKE A BROKEN RECORD, 24 RACEWAY SEASON OPENER DELAYED AGAIN DUE TO WEATHER. MOBERLY, MO (April 25) - Too much Friday rain & hail, pools of water standing on the pit infield, and so, no racing for 24 Raceway on Saturday the 26th, and that's the story. The 20 lap Hornet Special is now re-scheduled for May 3rd, and will still be the opening night feature event. Along with that class will be the rest of the regular classes racing at Moberly, consisting of A-modifieds, the Moberly Motors B-modifieds, the MFA Oil/Breaktime Sportsman class, and the Hobby Stocks. Along with this, the 3rd Annual Show & Shine Car Show is on for the morning of that Saturday, and this year a Swap Meet - Craft Show & Rummage Sale is also a part of the all-day event. The first 50 entrants for the Car Show get a Plaque and T-shirt. Food & Drinks are available for purchase, and there will be drawings for door prizes. Booth rental for the swap meet, craft show & rumamage sale will be $15 per space. To reserve a space, contact R. Wailes @ 660-676-8268. UPCOMING EVENTS (revised): May 3 - Opening Night plus the Hornet Special (20 Lap event) plus Car and Racecar Show & Shine; 10 AM (swap meet - craft show & rummage sale) May 10 - MFA Oil / Breaktime Sportsman Special (25 Lap event) And now with a May opening date, maybe you won't need to "Dress warm" since we're into the season a little ways now. Adult ticket prices for Opening Night, along with the Hornet Special, are still a good value at $10, with children, ages 6 to 12, getting in for $5. Kids under 6 years old are admitted free of charge. This year's pit pass will also stay the same as last year's price at $25 per night. We're having a time getting started but the 26 racing dates now kick off this next Saturday night of April 26th with "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" at the high banks of 24 Raceway, Moberly.
