NO RACING AT 24 RACEWAY, MOBERLY TONITE, May 2. RESCHEDULED ULMA and CAR SHOW NEXT SATURDAY May 9.

MOBERLY, MO (May 2) - Hope to see everyone at the 24 Raceway's half mile track next week once again for the LateModels' "Spring Challenge" of the United Late Model Association's Double Points event. The rest of the five regular classes of A-modifieds, B-modifieds, Sportsman and Hobby Stock classes will also compete in their weekly racing program. The ULMA feature will start 24 cars. Adult ticket prices for the coming ULM race night are $17 with children, 12 and under, admitted free. Gates open at 4pm. Pit passes are $25. Pre-tech inspections start at 4:30 and ends at the start of hot laps.

Earlier in the day, there is a Car Show complete with Music provided by KZZT FM105.5, along with judging and awards. Concessions will be on site, free activities for the kids and a $100 cash prize & trophy for the "Best Of Show", courtesty of O'Reilly Automotive in Moberly. All entrants receive a dash plaque, and the 1st 75 will receive a T-shirt. Registration is at 9am to 11am. Judging will begin at Noon and continue to 2pm. There are 24 classes in which to enter, with 1st & 2nd place plaques for all classes. Awards will be presented at 3.00 pm.

It will be a full day at 24 Raceway, with the daytime Car Show, and then the racing begins at 7pm with six classes this week. A short driver's meeting will take place at 6pm, followed by hot laps, starting at 6:15. Please see the website of www.24racewayinmoberly.com for additional info. The fast action will take place again on these high banks, east of Moberly, Missouri on U.S. Highway 24 this coming Saturday. "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" is back with grandstands open at 4pm this Saturday, the 9th of May at the high banks of 24 Raceway, Moberly.

Fuel sales of both Sunoco's 110 octane gas and a methanol blend, and tire sales, both Hoosier and American Racer brands, take place in near the tech area prior to the night's hot laps. Kids, ages 0 to 7 and 8 to 12, can enter a coloring of the night's picture at the Junior Fan Club table for a chance to win souvenior booth gift certificates. And finally, to help celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the facility, a Miss 24 Raceway will be picked from this year's entrants to preside over the trophy presentations for the 2009 season. Simply complete an entry form and submit it with your picture by May 9, so voting can begin. Fill it out and give to any official at the racetrack, as the Miss 24 Raceway will be announced on May 23.
