FIRECRACKER FORTY ALSO ADDS SIMULATOR TO PRE-RACE ACTION JULY 11TH AT 24 RACEWAY
by:
Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway, Moberly, MO

MOBERLY, MO (July 10) - This just added to the 5th annual Oscar White Memorial on Saturday the 11th:  A LateModel simulator will be on hand at 24 Raceway in the grandstand area for folks to try their skills at some fast racecar driving.  The simulator is being brought for fans' and drivers' enjoyment by its sponsor:  Lucas Oil / Cattle Company.  A ride consisting of ten laps, with a screen image of an oval track will cost the entrant only $5 and will offer a form of braggin' rights.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, the ride is scheduled to be available at three auto parts stores in Moberly, MO, located along Morley Street (Business Hwy 63), for a little while at each of the O'Reilly's, AutoZone and NAPA stores.  Stop by to test your racing ability!

And in more of a celebration of the 20th year of 24 Raceway's existance, the guy who was the track's only flagman for the better part of the first 15 seasons through various ownerships and facility names, Greg Embree, is to be the "guest" flagman to kick off the night's activities in style.  Come out to say "hello" to Greg, back in town on a visit from his Atlanta home.  After 15 seasons, plenty of the drivers will remember him.

So, come on out to see "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" on Saturday night, July 11th to 24 Raceway, with the Oscar White Memorial being this week's theme for the Firecracker Forty.  A Fireworks show is on schedule to follow the final feature race of the evening.  The car count on the MLRA, as well as the A-modifieds, is expected to be a good one due to the fact of this being just about the only latemodel show running in the area on this night.  Admission for this special race is $18 to the grandstand for adults, with kids, ages 12 & under admitted free.  Hot laps start at 6:15 this coming Saturday night following the 6 pm mandatory drivers' meeting, with the races beginning at 7 pm.
