MOBERLY, MO (April 30) - Due to the impending weather conditions, the distances for some of the race teams to travel and the Friday night cancellation of a preceding event at another track in Illinois, the Southern Midget Racing Series is cancelled for this Saturday at 24 Raceway on May 1st. Currently, the five regular racing classes of A-mods, B-mods, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and the 4 cylinder Hornets are still on the schedule, now as a regular racing Saturday night in Moberly. Admission to the grandstand area will now be only $10 for these classes that will be competing in "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" this weekend at 24 Raceway. Kids 12 and under are free to the grandstands. Pit passes will be $25. Racing starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:15, following the a short drivers' meeting at 6pm. All five regular classes will be competing once more in the season points racing. Remember, the racing starts at 7pm. "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" is back with grandstands and pit gates both open at 4pm this coming Saturday at 24 Raceway, Moberly, Missouri.
