MOBERLY, MO (May 3) - The weekly racing program set for Saturday, May 8th will be followed by the first mechanic's race of the season. After the feature races are completed, mechanics for the Hobby Stock class will get to turn the steering wheel instead of the wrenches, in a six lap shoot out. Sometime during the race, the car's regular driver will be required to do a tire change on the front stretch. And this week's racing events are to be sponsored by Casey's General Stores. 24 Raceway is proud to welcome these folks back for a second year at the track. And they will likely have a few give-aways upon entering, as well as some words at the intermission. Admission to the grandstand area will be $10 to see the five classes of A & B modifieds, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and 4 cylinder Hornets compete in "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" this weekend at 24 Raceway. Kids 12 and under are free to the grandstands. Pit passes will be $25. Racing starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:15, following the a short drivers' meeting at 6pm.
