34 Raceway will cap off 2012 season with three upcoming special events
WEST BURLINGTON, IA (Sept. 18, 2012) – The 2012 point race season at 34 Raceway has been complete but that doesn’t mean the racing action has come to an end. Following two weeks off from the track three special events are coming up for the banked 3/8 mile.
MOWA 410 Sprints
Sept. 22
Coming up this Saturday, September 22 will be the return of the Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) 410 Outlaw Sprints. Danny Lasoski, Higginsville, Mo. took home the top prize back on May 27..
Also competing will be the 4 cylinders as well as the Sport Mods, and Mod Lites as they compete for Season Championship honors and the 4 Cylinders. Pit gates open at 4, grandstands at 5 and hot laps are 6:30.
Sprints, Mod Lites, Quads and Pit Bike Races
Sept. 29
Added to the 2012 34 Raceway schedule is the Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders 360 Sprints Season Championship. Changed from Lee County Speedway to 34 Raceway, the Sprint Invaders will decide who will be the 2012 Season Champion on Saturday, September 29.
Following the Night of the Twins at 34 Raceway on August 18, Ryan Jamison leads the point race with 1682 points followed by Bobby Mincer with 1650 points. Also on the program, Bilstein Mod Lites will race for a $600 to win prize in this National Stars event.
Also on Saturday, Sept. 29 34 Raceway, Midwest Performance and Power, Shottenkirk Quickland, and American Family Insurance (Cory Richards, Agent) present the first ever pit bike and quad race at 34 Raceway!
Track will be made tight on the front stretch for elbow-to-elbow racing. The track will be set up between the racetrack and the advertising billboards and will include right and left hand turns along with small jumps. No portion of the race will take place on the actual race track itself. Rider pit pass is $10 + $20 entry fee. $300 to win Outlaw Quads, $150 to win pit bike. Format will include practice session, heat races and feature for each class. Registration begins at the pit shack at 4pm. All participants must be registered by 6pm. All participants must be 16 years of age. Any rider under 16 must have signed, parental consent. (No exceptions) All riders must wear helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, long sleeved shirt and pants! Pepsi Buffalo Wild Wings Fall Challenge
Oct. 6
The 2012 season will then cap off on Saturday, October 6 with the 34 Raceway/Lee County Speedway Pepsi/Buffalo Wild Wings Fall Challenge.
Classes competing will be the 305 Sprints, Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Sport Mods.
