34 Raceway to host 410 sprints Labor Day weekend

BURLINGTON, IA - There will be plenty of racing action this Labor Day weekend at
34 Raceway starting with Season Championships for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock
Cars and Hobby Stocks on Saturday, Sept.. 1. The closet races for the coveted
track championship is in the modified and hobby stock divisions. One point
separates the leader Rich Smith from Bill Roberts in second in the modified
division. In the hobby stock division Luke McLaughlin holds a 11 point lead over
Tanner Thomann. Todd Holsteen, last years hobby stock champion, holds a 26 point
lead over Jason Cook in the IMCA Stock Car class. Along with the mods, stocks
and hobbys will be a grand season finale for the 305 sprints racing for $700. A
special invite has been extended to 4 cylinder cars as they race heats and
features for a trophy only. This is a chance for those unfamiliar with the 34
Raceway to prepare for the ŗMad Dash for Cash˛ to be held Sunday, Sept. 2 during
the 410 Sprint Show.
Oh yes, the 410 Outlaw Sprints will make their first appearance at 34 Raceway in
several years on Saturday, Sept. 2. $2500 will go to the winner. An added $300
bonus will be paid to highest finishing 360,$125 bonus to second highest
finishing 360 and $75 BONUS to third highest finishing 360 sprint. The 410
sprint dash sponsored by Midland Performance, Mikešs Auto Parts & Jamie Moyle -
Hoosier Tire will pay $300 to win. The 4 cylinder feature event will pay $300 to
win and $100 to win 4 cylinder dash, sponsored by Mikešs Auto Parts -
Burlington. Racing begins at 6:00 Sunday.
