By: Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director

WEST BURLINGTON, IA (April 19) - The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be making their debut at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Wednesday, July 30. The high-banked 3/8-mile hosted its first sprint car race in 1973.

With the addition of 34 Raceway to the schedule, the series will now compete at three tracks in the state of Iowa this season. Along with the two separate visits to the famed Knoxville Raceway, and a stop at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, the event at 34 Raceway will give sprint car fans in Iowa that do not get to see the series very often an extra chance to see drivers like 20-time series champion Steve Kinser and two-time defending series titlist Donny Schatz, along with nearly 20 of the best sprint car drivers in the world.

A number of Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series drivers have competed at the track in the past, with a great deal of success.

Terry McCarl, the lone World of Outlaws driver that hails from the state of Iowa, has raced the most of any series driver at the track in his home state. He has competed 10 times at the high-banked 3/8-mile dating back to 1988, winning three of those events and finishing in the Top-10 in each and every one. The six-time Knoxville Raceway track champion last competed at the facility in 2005 in a 360-sprint car.

Danny Lasoski, the 2001 World of Outlaws champion also has had a great deal of success at 34 Raceway, earning three wins, in just four starts. He won in his debut at the track in 1992, driving for Guy Forbrook and also swept a pair of events in 1996, his most recent stop at the track.

Craig Dollansky, the current World of Outlaws championship point leader competed twice at 34 Raceway in 1995, picking up two Top-Five finishes in both of those events.

Joey Saldana, who is currently in the Top-Five in World of Outlaws championship points, driving for NASCAR star Kasey Kahne competed at 34 Raceway in 1998 with the All Star Circuit of Champions and finished fourth.

In addition to the blazing fast racing surface, 34 Raceway is a state-of-the-art facility that features Musco Lighting, along with aluminum seats in the grandstands that each have seatbacks for added comfort.

Fast Track Motorsports along with SLS Promotions will be presenting the inaugural Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at 34 Raceway on Wednesday, July 30.

Tickets for the event will be available beginning on Monday, May 5. For more information on tickets visit: http://www.34raceway.com or http://www.slspromotions.com.
