2 nights of excitement at 34 Raceway this Memorial Day Weekend BURLINGTON, IA (May 19) - 34 Racewayıs Memorial Day weekend bash begins Saturday night, May 24 with refreshment Services Pepsi night and all five classes of cars competing for dollars, trophies and points! Sunday afternoon, May 25, the weekend bash will continue with a Vintage Car Show Reunion from 1 to 4pm in the 34 Raceway parking lot. Pit gates will open at 4:30 and grandstands at 5:00, with the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invader show in line for the evening's events. Along with Vintage Cars will be the 2nd of 5 Ideal Ready Mix, Louisa Communications, I-Wireless 4 cylinder Dash For Cash Races. Special guests will be honored at intermission, including the following members of the 34 Raceway Hall Of Fame with new inductees to be recognized and honored! Current Hall of Fame members inducted into the 34 Raceway Hall of Fame in 1996 were Lem Blankenship, Bob Ensminger, Bob Lane George Fielty, Jim Hollenbeck, Bobby Jacks, Kenny Jackson, Bob Lamb, Bob Lamm, Zip Lekander, Dick McClure, Truman McDowell, Fibber McGee, John McClure, Bill Newman, Bosco Roberts, Al Samberg, Bill Schubert, Duane Stoneking, Dick Stoneking, Harvey Starman, Jerry Blundy New 2008 inductees will include Larry Beckman, Jim Dillon, Ken Haley, Wayne Hummer, Gene Jackson, Ron Jackson, Melvin (Socks) Jackson, Johnny Johnson, Larry Kemp, Mike Niffenegger, Conrad Olson, Charlie Pindell, Sonny Smyser & Gene Williamson |
