Late Model Shootout kicks off a month full of specials

BURLINGTON, IA (June 29) - Races at 34 Raceway last Saturday, June 27 were cancelled for the third time this season when heavy  rain and lighting hit the track before the start of racing action.  Looking forward to the month of July race fans will get  plenty of excitement with several specials coming up. 

July 4 : Late Model Shootout & Fireworks 

Celebrate the Fourth of July this  Saturday, July 4 with the Late Model Shootout with $1200 to win the late model feature. 101.7 The Bull will do a live broadcast from the track. 24 lucky late model fans who sign up will be given a driver qualifying for the late model feature. Whoever has the driver winning the feature race will win tickets to Chicagoland Speedway for the upcoming NASCAR race! Also competing July 4 will be the Mike’s Auto Parts IMCA Stock Cars, Pepsi Hobby Stocks, and the Louisa Communications/I-Wireless 4 Cylinders. A huge fireworks is scheduled following the races.

 

July 8: WoO 410 Sprints 

Then come back, Wednesday, July 8 for the second appearance in two years of the World Of Outlaw Sprint Series. In its first appearance at 34 Raceway last year a huge crowd turned out to see the 410 sprints fly around the 3/8 mile. Expect and even bigger show this year. Also competing will be the 305 Sprints.

 

July 11: Non-Winged Sprint Special 

Saturday, July 11 will be the 360 and 305 Non-Winged Special with the 360 and 305 sprints in action along with the Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks on H & L Mack and DC Auto Night. The draw/redraw show for sprints will pay $600 to win with an additional $150 bonus to the highest finishing 305 sprint.

 

July 18: Budweiser Night / Point races 

Regular point race action in all five classes will continue on Sat., July 18 on Budweiser Night. 

 

July 25: Christmas In July 

We’re not done yet as on Saturday, July 25 will be the Sebastian Sandblasting Christmas In July night at races. The track will be decorated with Christmas decorations and there will be a special visit from the man in red. Competing will be all five classes.

 

July 26: Truck and Tractor Pull 

The Month caps off with the Randall’s Performance and Accessory, Des Moines County Fair and Des Moines County Farm Bureau Truck and Tractor Sled Pull  on Sunday, July 26. For more information on these upcoming events and more go to www.34raceway.com
