One hundred twenty-six cars checked in for Racin’ Dirt Night at I-35 Speedway. The racing on the track was fast and furious as we completed our first race for the month of June.

E-Mods were first to hit the track with points leader Casey Burnett picking up another win, but it would not come easy. Second place finisher, Chris Dishong, would put the pressure on each lap but would rub out of time to take the lead. Aaron Jones would have to qualify through a B-feature but would have an impressive rub to finish third. PJ Conger and Blake Hayes would both have good runs finishing fourth and fifth.

Mich Ross becomes the first repeat winner for the Pure Stocks in ten races this season. Jeff Dixon, driving for Albert Curtis, would finish second. Conrad Kauffman, Josh Marshall, and James Johnson would round out the top 5.

Bobby Layne would pick up the Midwest Lightning Sprints feature win as he worked his way up around Chasity Younger. Younger would recover from a spin to finish second, with Jeff Bard third and Jeff Bard fourth.

Paul Glendenning would pick up his second Midwest Limited Late Model feature win of the season. Ed Noll would have a good run finishing second. Michael Dotson would find his line to come in third, followed by Jon Binning and Houston Johnson.

In USRA B-Mods, Ethan Isaacs, in only his first race of the season, would pick up the feature win. Issacs would battle with the top five finishers all race long, beating out points leader Corey Myers who would finish second. Cole Moore looked strong early and would finish third. Lonnie Hibner and Kyle Henning would round out the top 5.

Everyone is gearing up for the $1,220 to win, $250 to start Mike Tanner Memorial on June 18th, as Jeff Dixon would use the high line to his advantage to capture his second win of the season in USRA Stock Cars. Behind Dixon would see multiple three to four wide racing as Kameron Hanes would slip by to finish second. Doug Keller would look strong on the bottom as he competed for the win and took the third-place finish. Jason Estes rebounded from an earlier mishap to finish fourth. Nic Hanes ran up front all night and would come home fifth.

In the USRA Modifieds, Darren Shaw would put his car in places you wouldn’t think it would fit as he would pick up his first feature win of the season. Shaw would have a great battle with Houston Johnson for the lead as Johnson would finish second. Steven Bowers Jr would be up front for most of the race but faded back to third. Chris Spalding would race his way up to the fourth position, followed by Austin Johnson who would have a good run to finish fifth.

To finish off the night, Brad Mick would pick up his second feature win in a row in Sport Compacts as he had a great race with second place runner David Miller. Newcomer Russell Klisaris would finish third. Father/son duo of Harold Robb Jr and Harold Robb Sr would finish fourth and fifth.

Congratulations to the Fan of the Week, Frank Reed, sponsored by Graphics King, Glendenning Racing, Shaunie Lanning Racing and Wild Child Nation.
