Davenport Dirt Stars light up the night this Friday & Saturday
Davenport, Ia. (September 24, 2024) – Another new event will close out the month of September at Davenport Speedway. The two-night Davenport Dirt Stars will feature racers from all six of our weekly classes competing for big money.
The event will be held Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th. Highlighting Friday’s action is the 2nd Annual Ryan McDermott Memorial for Sport Compacts. The Sport Compact feature winner will earn $2,004-to-win. Jake Benischek of Durant won the race last year.
Also racing on Friday are:
IMCA Late Models paying $700-to-win / no entry fee,
IMCA Modifieds paying $1,000-to-win / $25 entry fee
IMCA SportMods paying $1,000-to-win / $40 entry fee,
Outlaw Street Stocks paying $400-to-win / no entry fee, and
IMCA Hobby Stocks paying $350-to-win / no entry fee.
On Saturday, the biggest purse will be in the IMCA Late Model class where the feature winner will earn $3,000. Late Models will have a $75 entry fee on Saturday.
Saturday’s support classes are:
IMCA Modifieds paying $1,200-to-win / $40 entry fee,
IMCA SportMods paying $500-to-win / no entry fee,
Outlaw Street Stocks paying $750-to-win / $25 entry fee,
IMCA Hobby Stocks paying $1,000-to-win / $40 entry fee, and
Sport Compacts paying $300-to-win / no entry fee.
On both nights, grandstand tickets for adults are $20. Children (ages 5-10) are $10. Pit passes are $35 for adults and kids (10 & under) $20.
On both nights, the pit gate for the Davenport Dirt Stars opens at 4pm. The grandstand opens at 5pm, with hotlaps at 6:30pm, and racing to follow.
