Casey’s General Stores fuels IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals, Deery Series
ANKENY, Iowa (March 22) – The biggest special event in dirt track racing and the best-known series for Late Models in the Midwest will be backed by Casey’s General Stores.
The official convenience store of IMCA, Casey’s becomes presenting sponsor for the Sept. 2-7 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals, and title sponsor for the redraw at all 18 Deery Brothers Summer Series races.
Gift cards given during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and at Deery Series events will be redeemable at any of the more than 1,700 Casey’s stores in 14 states.
“Casey’s has a long and proud history of supporting racing throughout the Midwest. We are pleased to help sponsor the Deery Brothers Summer Series and Super Nationals,” said Mike Richardson, vice president of marketing for the Ankeny, Iowa-based convenience store chain. “Casey’s knows that thousands of our loyal customers will be attending races this season and we are glad to be able to serve them as well as help bring even more great racing to the Midwest.”
The new official heat winner title sponsor for Super Nationals, Casey’s will give a hat and $20 gift cards to eligible heat winners in all divisions. Drivers must display a Casey’s decal in a designated location on their race car. Casey’s and IMCA will both donate $10 to Hope for the Warriors for each heat winner meeting that requirement.
And a week-long wristband for entrance to the pit area will be available, entitling the wearer to certain discounts at Casey’s during the week of Super Nationals. Those discounts are to be announced.
Drivers drawing the pole position at each Deery event will receive $50 gift cards. Those with perfect attendance for the entire season receive $100 gift cards.
All drivers are required to display two Casey’s decals on their race car.
The Casey’s website is www.caseys.com.
The first Casey’s opened in Boone in 1968 and the chain has kept the original logo as it expanded to locations across Iowa, as well as Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
In addition to selling grocery items, bakery goods and gasoline, Casey’s has also grown to become the fifth largest pizza chain in the United States.
“We are really honored to put a partnership together with Casey’s General Stores and both organizations are mutually excited about this opportunity,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We’ll make some very visual changes to our redraw format at each Deery show while maintaining the unique way we showcase our drivers to a very passionate fan base.”
“The Super Nationals partnership is equally exciting,” he added, “and we’ll get into more detail on how Casey’s will impact that event as we draw closer this summer.”
More information about the Casey’s award program is available from Yoder at the IMCA home office.
