IMCA Late Model point season starts this weekend

VINTON, Iowa (April 24, 2013) – The first weekend of the national point season for IMCA Late Models rates a perfect 10, with sanctioned events at as many different tracks.

Davenport Speedway, Farley Speedway and the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines all host their first weekly shows for the full-bodied class on Friday, April 26.

Saturday, April 27 Late Model openers are slated at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Independence Motor Speedway, Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Shelby County Speedway in Harlan and West Liberty Raceway.

Dubuque Speedway and Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Ill., both open for the Late Models on Sunday, April 28.

The first Late Model date at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa is Wednesday, May 1. The division sees its first action of 2013 at Stuart Speedway on May 19 and at Crawford County Speedway in Denison on June 7.

The season for IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Allstar Performance State and local track points runs through Sunday, Aug. 25.
