WHEATLAND, MO – May 3rd, 2013 – Mother Nature is at it again! Extremely unseasonable low temperatures, rain and a few snow showers have forced the cancellation of the Impact Signs, Awnings and Wraps Open Wheel Showdown scheduled for Saturday, May 4th. “The unfortunate and historic weather conditions added to the fact many of the series drivers come from across the state and all over the Midwest, forced us to cancel,” stated Dan Robinson General Manager.
The event will not be rescheduled. Any promotional tickets for Saturday, May 4th can be used towards any future event at Lucas Oil Speedway at face value. No refunds or cash back will be given. Tickets may be applied towards a higher priced event, the ticket holder must then pay the difference.
Next up for Lucas Oil Speedway and Lake Lucas is the US F1 Powerboat Tour on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th. The Budweiser Formula 1 North American Championships will include F1 boats from all over the United States. These powerful machines soar at 140 MPH down Lake Lucas before making a hair pin turn and racing back. Don’t miss this first time event, plus Saturday Night the Lucas Oil Weekly Championship Series hits the Diamond of Dirt Tracks. Saturday Night will also feature the 4th Annual Business Expo.
