WINSTON, MO (June 22, 2013) – Grand Nationals started the night with the familiar #75 of point leader Bud Wilson in victory lane.  Hard racing for second between two brothers witnessed Austin Johnson #98 edge younger Houston Johnson #97 for second place as Houston would have to settle for third.  Marty Powell #9p placed fourth while Don Marrs #9 suffered mechanical problems to finish fifth.

Midwest Lightning Sprints saw Tom Brown #b20 back in McCarthy Auto-Group Winners Circle for the second time this season.  Tony Layne #71 challenged #b20 early but was forced to settle for second with Ken Brown #10 placing third.  Jack Moorehead #z8 drove home in the fourth position and Greg Black #53 rounded out the top five.

The always competitive and entertaining IMCA Stock Cars saw a different driver win as Thomas Roberts #65x worked the high side to perfection, earning his 68th career victory.  Fierce racing continued behind Roberts with Kevin Anderson #417 finishing second and the ford powered #86c of Jake Cameron third.  Current point leader Dean Wray #77 would win the hard charger award, coming from a twelfth starting spot, to finish fourth.  John Crews #12c “cruised” his way to fifth place.

Josh Steele #94j jumped out to an early lead in the IMCA Sport Mod feature holding off all challengers until Nick “The Kid” Roberts #23jr slipped by to pick up the victory.  Randy Ainsworth #57 raced side by side with Steele in the closing laps to place second, moving Steele to a solid third place finish. Hard Charger Award Winner Nic Hanes #9h drove from a fourteenth starting position to bring his Mopar powered race car home third. “Marine Tough” Clint Baker #17x also charged through the pack to finish fifth.

Racing for Rian Night brought out the big guns with $1000 to win the IMCA A-Modified feature.  The finale would not disappoint those in attendance, with Richie Gustin #19g picking up the nights big purse by leading every lap on his way to victory.  Hunter Marriott #62 would challenge Gustin early only to come up short in the end to finish second. Veteran racer Buz Kaster #54 started in the third position and held his spot to finish third.  Point leader P.J. Conger #19 battled back from early race mishaps to place fourth.  Steven Glenn #26 raced from a sixth row outside starting spot to finish fifth.
