Reicks wins fifth straight at Britt

BRITT, Iowa (July 12) – Michael Reicks won his fifth straight Mach-1 Sport Compact feature and Cory Gansen captured his fifth feature win of the season Friday at Hancock County Speedway.

Reicks also captured the heat race in is class. Gansen has been almost as hot and held off a seri­ous challenge from hard charger Devin Smith, who went from his 10th starting spot to finish as the runner-up.

Scott Dobel was third with Austin Hauswirth placing fourth and Kyle Schmauss was fifth.

J.J. Wise of Manly took the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature with Troy Swearington finishing second followed by Jeremy Mills, Kelly Shryock and Jimmy Gustin.

Gustin was the hard charger in the feature after starting 14th.

Jake Masters piloted his no. 11 rig into the winner circle in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Masters, who started on the outside the fourth row, held off hard charger Mike Jergens.

Jergens, who started 10th, was followed by Chad Palmer, Ned Kalis and Calvin Lange.

Shane Swanson won his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature at Hancock County Speedway, followed by Alex Schubbe, Matt Hoeft, Aaron Benson and Mike Carlson.
