Shelliam Barker Miles Kinsella Beschen Taggart Nab Sunday Night Wins at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, IA (May 20) – Dan Shelliam passed Luke Merfeld for the lead with six laps remaining and went on to win his second IMCA late model feature win of the season here at the dubuque fairgrounds speedway sunday evening.Nick Marolf grabbed the early lead for the first couple of laps but took his racer pitside with a broken rear end bracket,however quick work by his crew had him back trackside as he didnt lose a lap as he came back on the lead lap as the race was under a caution.Luke Merfeld lead the race from lap three through nineteen before Dan Shelliam got around for the lead and on for the win.Joel Callahan was second.Merfeld third,Luke Goedert fourth with Larry Harris fifth.Ron Klein and Nick Marolf posted heat race victories.

track champion grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on to win the twenty lap IMCA modified feature his first win here this season and third victory overall in the 2012 campaign.The race was red flagged on lap two as Derek Thompson rolled over in turn one.He was not injured.The race resumed as Ron Barker was in command the next eighteen laps for victory.Ryan DeShaw was second,Mark Schulte third,Rich Smith fourth,with Tony VonDresky placing fifth.Heat races were won by Ron Barker,Brandon Wilson,and Bobby Moyer.
In the SPI Stock Car feature veteran Jerry Miles was perfect on the weekend as he chalked up two victories winning the fifteen lap feature tonight after winning the feature in farley on friday night.Joe Bonney was second,Terry Rittmer third,Tyler Soppe fourth,with Ricky Brokus fifth.Jerry Miles won the stock car heat race.
In the IMCA Sport Mod feature Luke Kinsella grabbed the lead on lap seven and lead the rest of the way for his first win of the season.Kinsella was followed across the line by Austin Moyer in second,Hope Schmerebach third,Jason Robbins fourth,with Kyle Hoffman fifth.Heat races were won by Luke Kinsella and Hope Schmerebach In the IMCA Hobby Stock ten lap feature Brandon Beschen picked up his fourth win of the season leading from flag to flag.Shawn Kuenen was second,Rod Chapman third,Robbie Clifton fourth,with Jarred Miles fifth.Brandon Beschen won the heat race.
In the IMCA Sport Compact ten lap feature Bob Taggart lead from flag to flag for his fourth victory overall this season.Eric McDonough was second,Andy Harchberger third.Bob Taggart was the sport compact heat race winner.
