Rain takes season finale at Adams County Speedway
CORNING, IA. (Sept. 9, 2006) - Rain was the big winner on the final NASCAR Dodge
Weekly Series event for 2006 at the Adams County Speedway. Rains that missed all
day finally set in at 6:45 and lasted until 8:00, at which time officials
determined that the racing surface could not be prepared in time or be in good
enough shape to compete for the evening.
No reschedule date will be done. 2006 track champions are Chris Spieker in the
Dodge late models, Jeremy Tibben in the Budweiser modifieds, Mike Garner in the
Northland Oil pro streets and Brad Bergren in the NAPA hobby stocks.
Although this was the last NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series event for 2006, two shows
remain at the facility. The Adams County Fair and Racing Association present the
2006 Tradition for pro streets and hobby stocks next Friday and Saturday
September 15th and 16th. Then to cap the season, the USMTS modfieds will compete
along with the pro streets and hobby stocks on October 6th and 7th. For more
