ACS to finally finish season September 14th

CORNING, IA (Sept 9) - The final night of the 2008 season for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the Adams County Speedway will conclude on Sunday, September 14th.

With the rainout of the Budweiser modified and Whelen late model features of September 6th, the end of the 2008 season got delayed. With respect to our drivers and fellow track operators who have scheduled to run special events on Friday and Saturday night the 12th and 13th, ACS officials have decided to finish the two remaining features on Sunday afternoon, September 14th.

Gates will open at 2:00, hot laps will be at 3:30 and the final Budweiser modified feature of 2008 will roll off at 4:00. Grandstand admission will be free. Pit passes will be free to those who have one from last week. All you have to do is bring last week's pit pass to trade for a new one for insurance purposes. Any new pit passes will cost $10 with or without a NASCAR license.

If this rescheduling should rain out, the season will be officially over and the qualified drivers will split the feature event money that is to be awarded
