Adams County Speedway Unveils New Website

CORNING, IA (Jan. 22, 2009) – A completely revamped website awaits Adams County Speedway fans. The new site features up to the minute race results, points and racing news. The site also includes a weekly video courtesy of fans.

“We wanted to provide a website that was informative and all about the race fans and drivers,” said ACS promoter Nick Wetzel. “The fans and drivers are what make the speedway a huge success and this is their opportunity to once again be the stars of the show.”

Results will be updated every race night and posted on www.acspeedway.com . This will give fans that can’t make the races a chance to see the results and current point standings immediately following the race conclusion.

Visitors will be able to upload their own You Tube video to the new website. A new race related video will change weekly. You’ll also have the opportunity to sign up for the ACS newsletter. Every newsletter will highlight upcoming race information, schedule changes, a blog from KMA sports director Chris Williams and much more.

“We are excited to have Chris Williams give his insight on the world of racing periodically on the new website,” said Wetzel. “He definitely knows how to push some buttons and give people an entirely different perspective.”

The website will also highlight numerous area businesses that are a major supporter of ACS during the year. Visitors will be able to browse those businesses’ websites linked through www.acspeedway.com

“One goal for the ‘09 season is to make the race experience more exciting for fans. We are able to do just that with the support of all our sponsors who can be found on the new website.” said Wetzel. Many of those sponsors will be featured throughout the season.

Southwestern Community College will highlight a “schools out night” on June 6. Any student 18 and under will have the opportunity to ride with the race drivers as the pack the track before the races begin.

Something special for the kids at www.acspeedway.com  is the Junior Speedsters page. Youngsters 12 and under can sign up for the Alegent Health Mercy Hospital Jr. Speedsters club. They will receive a packet full of goodies including concession coupons to be used at the races. Alegent Health in Corning will give away 2 bicycles every Saturday night to a Jr. Speedster boy and girl.

More information can be found on www.acspeedway.com  and www.kmaland.com

The track opens on April 18 with a practice night and free admission. Opening night is set for April 25.
