Jeff Taylor Travels To Knoxville Raceway
by: Ben Shelton
JONESBORO, Ark. (October 1) – There will be no rest for the wicked as Jeff
Taylor will make the long tow to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa this
weekend, October 1st-3rd for the Harris Open Wheel Modified Clash.
Last weekend, Jeff entered the 20th Annual Flatlander Classic at Sherman
County Raceway in Goodland, Kansas. With 80 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand,
Taylor picked up an 8th place finish in Saturday night's, $1,500 to win
event.
On Sunday night, September 27th Taylor had an eventful night with 80 entries
once again on hand for the $3,500 to win event. After transferring from the
b-main to the feature, Jeff started 22nd. By lap ten, Taylor took over the
spot lap and a few laps later saw him putting the tenth place runner down.
Jeff looked to be on his way to a dominating win before the fuel pump broke
with eight laps to go, bringing his night to a disappointing early end.
This weekend, October 1st-3rd, Jeff will be in action at Knoxville Raceway
in Knoxville, Iowa for the Harris Clash, which will be held in conjunction
with the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals. The event was slated to get
underway on Thursday, October 1st with a $1,250 to win event, but it was
scrapped due to inclement weather. On Friday, October 2nd, a $2,000 to win
event for the Open Wheel Modifieds will be held, while a $2,500 top prize
