Promising forecast for Batesville's Mid-America Modified
Championship
BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 9, 2011) - The weatherman is cooperating with
forecasts for the upcoming Mid-American Modified Championship, as forecasts
for the next three days don't include precipitation in any form.
IMCA Modifieds run in $1,500 to win, minimum $150 to start features
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 10-12 at Batesville Motor Speedway.
High temperatures are pegged in the mid-50s for Thursday and in the mid-60s
both Friday and Saturday.
IMCA national, ButlerBuilt Central Region and Allstar Performance State
points will be given for each show. Each feature is a qualifying event for
the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Features at the 15th annual Mid-America Championship pay a minimum of $150
to start. Entry fee is $100 if postmarked by March 1 or $150 after that
date.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. each day. Hot
laps are at approximately 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Pit passes are $30 each night. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and
free for kids 11 and under.
