MID-AMERICA 305 WINGED SPRINTS AT THE NEW
MOUNTAIN-DEW BLOOMFIELD SPEEDWAY

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (April 16, 2006) - The new and improved Mountain-Dew
Bloomfield Speedway will feature six classes in action with the Mid-America 305
Winged Sprints added to the card. A lot of work has been done on the racing
surface by widening the fast 3/8 mile semi-banked speedway.
This proved to be a huge improvement making for four and five wide racing action
in the season opener on Friday April 14th.
This year the winged sprints will make eight apperances at the Mountain-Dew
Bloomfield Speedway.
The defending series champ Mark Widmar of Ottumwa will pilot the 7w machine
owned by Larry and Judy Dovico and Randy Major of Batavia. This series run nine
races in 2005 and had six diffrent winners.
Some of the drivers expected are Brian Ridge of Ottumwa, Jerry Crabb of
Chartion,Steve Breazeale of Trenton,Mo. Matt Stephenson along with brother Marty
Stephenson from the Des Moines area, Louis Lynch of Glenwood,Mo who finished the
year on a high note taking the checkers on the final night of the 2005 season.
The long distance award every time was Jamie Nedham of Milan,Il. expected to
make the long trip. Rob Kubli of Milo,Nate Vanhaaften of Otley,Bob Lamb of
Mitchellville, Gary Bonar and Dale Oaks of Burlington,Mike Mayberry of
Ottumwa,Kevin Tanner of Russell and rookie drivers Troy Pedelfer of
Pleasentville and former motor cycle racer Monte Hill of Fairfield along with
Logan Trueblood of Memphis,Mo. who is coming out of the B-modified division.
Racing action will kick off with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing action at 7:30pm
at the Mountain-Dew Bloomfield Speedway.
