FROST BUSTERS TO KICK OFF SEASON AT BLOOMFIELD, MEMPHIS
by: Jeff Nun

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (March 27) -- The 2007 racing season at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway in Bloomfield, Iowa, and the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Mo., is set to kick off this Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, with the inaugural Frost Buster.

It’s been five long months since the last checkered flag waved at each facility and this weekend will launch another exciting year for the 3/8-mile clay oval speedplants.

USRA-sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks will be in action both nights, while Outlaw Hobbys will also join the mix on Saturday at Memphis. A top prize of $600 will go to the feature winner both nights in the Modified division and Stock Cars will battle for $400 to win each night. Drivers in the B-Mod, Hobby Stock and Outlaw Hobby classes will vie for $300 to win.

National points toward the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series will be awarded to USRA-licensed drivers. However, a USRA license and/or track registration is not required to race at these events and there is no entry fee.

All USRA rules will apply, however, Pepsi Scotland County Speedway rules will govern the B-Mods and Outlaw Hobbys there. American Racer is the Official Tire of the USRA, and any driver seeking to receive USRA national points must use the American Racer KK-704 racing tire. The Hoosier G60 tire will also be allowed for these races, but must be mounted on all four wheels with no grooving allowed. For complete USRA rules, visit www.usraracing.com  online.
