WALKER TAKE 100TH CAREER HOBBY STOCK WIN AT BLOOMFIELD
SPEEDWAY

BLOOMFIELD, IA (July 24) - Racing action Friday night at the Mountain-Dew
Bloomfield speedway with the night being sponsored by the local parts
trailer Art’s Racemart of Memphis, Mo. The night started off beautiful but
strong storm developed to the north of the speedway.
All six features was run and the action was finished at 10:25PM and the
rain followed at 10:45PM. The first feature of the night saw the Taylor
Automotive USRA stock cars make a three Car battle for the win. Chase
Mitrisin of Oskaloosa looked to have his first win in the division but Phil
McClure and Mike Harward thought differently with Harward making the last
lap pass for the with Phil McClure in second followed by Mitrisin and Terry
Rachels in fourth.
The Kollision Korner four cylinder division saw Andrew Hurley of Macon,
Mo. Take the win holding off teammate Devin Stills for the win with Stills
in second and Trent Orwig and last weeks winner was Mike Fisher in fourth.
In the Mid-America 305 winged sprints Jayson Ditsworth lead all fourteen
laps for the win holding off Dustin Clark who extended his point lead with a
second place finish. Mark Widmar took the third spot with Patrick Long in
fourth.
The Kirkland Auto USRA saw a wild final lap with action being red flagged
for a large crash on the backstretch with Nathan Wood and Tony Teninty
getting together and Tennity taking Wood to the fence causing major damage
to both cars. Teninty car would come back across the racetrack collecting
Mark Moore and Moore having to be transported to the hospital for
observation. This would turn the lead over to Kris Walker and Walker would
lead the green, white and checkered finish and making history.
This was Walkers 100th hobby stock career win. Louis Lynch would take
second followed by Bobby Greene in third and Alan Hultz in fourth.
The USRA A-mods saw Colt Mather take his second straight win holding off
Ron Verbeek who took the runner-up spot with Kevi Blackburn in third and
Brandon Banks in fourth.
The Pepsi-Cola USRA b-mods went to Jason McDaniel who passed Mike Shelton
for the lead with five laps remaining and took the win. Drew Lawson and
Shelton would battle for the second spot with Lawson in second and Shelton
in third. Mike Wanders would take the fourth spot.
Next week fans will be treated to Mardi Gras bead night sponsored by
Kirkland Auto and team 2k. The nightly sponsor will be Golden Furrow
Fertilizer night with the USRA weekly racing series and four cylinders.
Action will kickoff with hot laps at 7:00PM and Racing action at 7:30PM.
