BLOOMFIELD, IA (March 18, 2012) - Big news for winged 305 sprint car racing in southern Iowa....Mtn. Dew Bloomfield Speedway and Knoxville Raceway (the dirt racin'capital of the world!), with title sponsorship from Golden Eagle Distributing-Busch Light, have formed The Cold Truth-Busch Light Winged 305 Super Series.

The current 305 schedule at Knoxville will go unchanged, but Bloomfield will host four additional points events starting May 19th. This will be a special evening at the Speedway honoring our Armed Forces and Police with the Iowa National Guard and the Iowa State Patrol on hand with displays.

Night two will be Saturday, June 30th. Night three will be Thursday, July 12th, at the Davis County Fair joined by vintage open wheel cars and the MADCRA mod lite series. July 28 will be reserved for a rain date should we not complete one of the first three. The final points night will fall Saturday, September 1st, our Little Leaguers' Special. Complete Knoxville rules will apply with a guaranteed nightly payout, at minimum, to match Knoxville's currrent posted for the 305's.

In addition, the top ten drivers in the combined points series will share a $2000 points fund provided by several generous sponsors to be announced soon. The points payout will be as follows: 500, 300, 250, 200, 175, 150, 125, 100, 100, 100. You may have noticed earlier I said the nightly payout will be a MINIMUM match to Knoxville....talks are underway now with a possible sponsor that would like to continue with our "DOUBLE DOWN" theme at the Speedway this year....look for more about that soon! One final note, our year-end two-day special September 28th & 29th will likely include a 305 "Battle at the Border" Invitational....details of this event will be out later in the year. For more information keep watching our facebook page at Race Dirt Bloomfield and the forum boards. Thanks, Chris
