TJ GARRISON & JEREMY TOMPKINS MAKE FIRST TRIPS TO VICTORY LANE
IN 2006
COLUMBUS JUNCTION, IA. (June 23, 2006) - Friday, June 23, 2006 was the Evan
Massey Memorial Race at the CJ Raceway with trophies, an extra $100 for the
hobby stock winner, and treats for the kids. TJ Garrison picked up his first 4
Cylinder win of the season with Jeremy Tompkins picking up his first hobby stock
feature win of the season. Brandon Jay, Kevin Kile, and Billy Faler made their
third trips.
Randy Foor had the point in the 4 cylinder feature with TJ Garrison in second
and Brian Tipps in third before Garrison took the lead on lap 2. One lap later
contact was made coming out of turn 2, with Foor avoiding a caution but losing
thirteen spots. Garrison maintained the lead with Tipps moving into second.
Daniel Keltner held third until a flat sent him to the pits, moving Andrew
Theobald into third. Garrison picks up his first 2006 4 cylinder feature win,
Tipps takes second, and Andrew Theobald third.
Blair Dickey led the hobby stock feature with Dustin Bliven quickly following in
second. Bliven dove low coming out of turn 4 to take the lead on lap 5 and

smoking and heading into the pits. Tompkins takes over the lead with Dickey in
second before Dickey rolled, for the second week in a row, on the backstretch.
Dickey was okay, but the car was done for the night. Tompkins maintains the lead
with Mike Rees and Mike Cassabaum in second and third. At the line it's Tompkins
with his first 2006 feature win, Rees in second, and Cassabaum in third.
Brandon Jay held off Travis Finke in the IMCA feature to pick up his third win

Shelly Mizell put them to the back of the pack on the restart and moved Brandon
Jay and Travis Finke to the first row. Jay led the entire IMCA feature with
Finke on his bumper the whole race. Aaron Summy followed in third. At the
checkers its Jay, Finke, and Summy respectively.

on lap 2 Kevin Kile made the pass at the line to take the lead. Four laps later
Jeff Guengerich made the same move on Starkweather to take second. By half point
Ron Boyse and Matt Bodman made their way up through the pack to take third and
fourth. Kile holds on for his third win of the season with Guengerich, Boyse,
and Bodman finishing in second, third, and fourth respsectively.

Faler right behind him in the second position. Wilson held off Faler for the
