CJ SPEEDWAY RULES MEETING AND NEW CLASS FOR 2009

WAPELLO, IA (Oct 9) - Rules meeting will be held November 1st at the ambulance shed in Wapello. It is located on the east side of hwy. 61 across the road from the Roy-El Motel. We are going to try and get one class in at a time so nobody has to sit through all classes and waste a whole day. Here is a schedule we are going to try to follow, (not saying this is going be exact but if we get done with one class early we will not start the next class until the scheduled time).

4 cylinders we will start at noon
Hobby Stocks at 1:00 PM
IMCA Stock Cars at 2:00 PM
Mod Lites at 3:00 PM

NEW CLASS FOR 2009 WILL BE AT 4:00 PM

IMCA and USRA Modified type rules, these rules will be similar to the race being ran on October 17th and 18th at Memphis.

We took everyones ideas into consideration and we all agreed that this is the best direction for us to go as first year promoters. Under these rules it will allow some Mods from West Liberty as well as some IMCA Mods from Burlington to compete together on Fridays and honestly we think this will put on an excellent show for the crowd. I thank you all for your ideas and thoughts.

As for all the Late Model guys do not feel left out, we are going to TRY and run some specials throughout the year. I appreciate all your interest in coming back to Junction this year but it is just not possible for us to run Lates our first year.

We will be at the racetrack this Saturday (Oct 10), if anyone would like to come see what progress is being made. We are hoping to finish cutting all the trees and poison ivy, oak, sumac.....whatever they are.....off the turn three and four wall, turn three looks a lot better then it has in a long time. Anyone that wants to help or even just come look is welcome.

Also on another note we have purchased a scale, with the rules package we are going to run in the modifieds a scale is going to be needed.

A CJ Speedway website is under construction and when we get it up and going we will post before and after pics of things we are doing. Also driver bios will be updated as quickly as we can, when we get the site going we will ask for info at that time.

Thanks for your time and hope to see you at the meeting!
