Deery Series returns to Buena Vista Raceway June 14

ALTA, Iowa (June 5) ­ The Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Buena Vista Raceway, topping the mid-season championship night show on Wednesday, June 14.

The IMCA Sunoco Late Model tour made its first ever appearance at Alta last summer, with Darrel DeFrance of Marshalltown taking the victory.
DeFrance, the only driver to have competed at every event in the 19-plus years the series has been held, will extend his streak to 291 straight races next week.
Filling out the mid-week card are IMCA sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks, and the BVR "B" modified and bomber classes.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:45 p.m., with racing set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students ages 11-17, and 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Pit passes are $25. The Deery feature pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start.

Defending series champion Terry Neal is the only driver with two wins through the first six Deery races this season. Other winners include points leader and four-time tour titlist Jeff Aikey of Waterloo, points runner-up Rob Toland of Bettendorf, Boone McLaughlin of Mediapolis and Curt Martin of Independence.
Following the Alta date is the June 20-21 doubleheader, with the series traveling to I-35 Speedway at Mason City on Tuesday night and to Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City on Wednesday.
