Deery Brothers banner flies again over IMCA Late Model series

BURLINGTON, Iowa (April 17) – While celebrating its 100th year in business, the Deery Brothers Automotive Group notes another anniversary with its 18th season as title sponsor of the special series for IMCA Late Models.

The largest auto retailer in Iowa, Deery will pay $23,600 in point fund money to final top 15 drivers in the tour.

Weather permitting, 21 dates are now on the 2009 schedule, including a first-time visit to Upper Iowa Speedway at Decorah and much anticipated returns to Cresco Speedway, Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Knoxville Raceway and Lee County Speedway in Donnellson.

Also on tap are events at Davenport Speedway, Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Quincy, Ill., Raceway, Highway 3 Raceway at Allison, Boone Speedway, Independence Motor Speedway, Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines, Marshalltown Speedway and 34 Raceway at West Burlington.

Thirty-Four hosted the April 11 Slocum 50 Memorial opening night event and is also the site of the $10,000 to win Pepsi USA Nationals finale Sept. 18-19.

Three Deery races are on tap this weekend, starting tonight at Davenport.

“This series would not have the proven track record of success it has today without the long-time backing of Deery Brothers,” said Kevin Yoder, director of the tour and marketing director for IMCA. “Their support has been instrumental in making this the longest running series for Late Models in the Midwest.”

Deery Brothers has more than 3,000 new and pre-driven cars, trucks and vans at outlet and service centers in Burling ton, Maquoketa, Carlisle, Waterloo and Cedar Falls.
