DEERY BROTHERS SHOW AT CRESCO FOILED BY RAIN CRESCO, Iowa (June 16) — The Deery Brothers Summer Series event scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, at the Cresco Speedway was been rained-out. Officials are looking at possible dates to reschedule the show sometime this summer. There is no racing at Cresco this Sunday, June 21. The roar of engines return to the Cresco Speedway on Sunday, June 28, for the Mighty Howard County Fair. On the racing card will be the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks plus Hornets. The Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks will run their make-up features from the June 7 rain-ou prior to heat races for the regular program. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. at Cresco. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. The Cresco Speedway is a 4/10-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.2 miles north of SR 9 on SW 7th (at the Howard County Fairgrounds).
