Mason City, Allison, Maquoketa dates next for Deery Series
MASON CITY, Iowa (July 26) – What will already have been a busy month for
IMCA Late Model drivers and fans following the Deery Brothers Summer Series
ends with three events in as many nights.
The tour is at I-35 Speedway in Mason City for a Tuesday, July 28 show, at
Highway 3 Raceway in Allison on Wednesday, July 29 and finally at Jackson
County Speedway in Maquoketa on Thursday, July 30.
All three features pay $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start.
Gates and the grandstand at Mason City open at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7
p.m. with racing to follow.
Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12, with five and under

Highway 3 opens the gates at 5 p.m. and the grandstand at 6 p.m. for its
second Deery show of the season. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts
at 7 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $6 for kids 6-12.

Jackson County makes up the spring race lost to inclement weather on the
third night of the tripleheader. It will be fair time in Maquoketa and the
grandstands will be open all day. Pit gates open at
1 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Admission is $7 for adults. Kids 12 and under watch the races for free.

The first five Deery features of the month resulted in as many different
winners.
Terry Neal topped the July 1 show at Independence Motor Speedway, Tommy
Elston won at Knoxville Race way on July 8, Ray Guss Jr. took the July 14
checkers at Fayette County Speedway in West Union and Jay Johnson paced the
July 15 show at Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah.
Five-time series champion Jeff Aikey of Waterloo is the current point leader
and won for the first time this season in the most recent Deery event, July
22 at Southern Iowa Speedway. The victory at Oskaloosa was his career 49th.
