Toland, Inman, Murty and Moyer Win at
Iowa State Fair Speedway

DES MOINES, Ia (May 12, 2006) - One hundred and thirty-seven cars and dirt trucks crowded into the pits Friday evening at the Iowa State Fair Speedway. It was another windy and cold night with rain nearby all night. The racing was very competitive and the program ran smoothly and was completed earlier than usual.
Rob Toland won his first IMCA late model feature at the track. Darrell DeFrance finished second, Terry Neal ran third, and Craig Roberts was fourth.
The IMCA modified main winner was Todd Inman, his second win of the year. Jeff Anderson ran second, Adam Larson third, and last week’s winner Todd Shute was fourth.
Damon Murty made his first appearance at the track this season and captured the IMCA stock car feature. Todd Fisher raced second with Jeff Johnson third and Don Killen fourth.
Bill Dawson became the first driver to win three features this season. His IMCA hobby stock beat Ray Stock Jr., Todd Bass, and Paul Wheeler to the checkered. In the second hobby main, Adam Hagen collected his second victory of the season. Following him to the finish were Matt Inman, Kevin Fee, and Bill Bonnett.
The Cookies BBQ Truck Series main was a Moyer family affair. Father Carl Moyer was leading, son Bret Moyer collided with him from behind and then passed him. Carl Moyer roared back past Bret and won the race. Bret Moyer was second, Pat Fagen third, and Rick Clark ran fourth.
Racing continues next Friday evening featuring IMCA late models, modifieds, hobby stocks, SportMods, and Cookies BBQ Truck Series. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00 PM with racing following.
