Benton County Fair special sports four IMCA divisions in July 20 show
VINTON, Iowa (July 11) – Blue ribbon caliber racers in four IMCA divisions
will take to the track during the July 20 fair special at the Benton County
Speedway in Vinton.
Sanctioned Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, Stock Cars and Hobby
Stocks are on the Thursday night card. First place in the Modified main pays
$1,000, earning the winner a spot on the ballot for the 2007 All-Star
Invitational at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
First place in the Stock Car feature pays $400. Winners of the SportMod and
Hobby features both earn $250. Local track, Smiley’s Racing Products state,
regional and national IMCA points will also be awarded.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m.
