IMCA Late Models on Aug. 4 card at Mineral City
FORT DODGE, Ia (July 26, 2006) – IMCA sanctioned Late Models will return to
Mineral City Speedway at Fort Dodge to headline the Friday, Aug. 4 race program.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:45 p.m.
The winner pockets $550, with a minimum of $100 paid to start the 24 car main
event and $50 tow money paid to non qualifiers. National and Smiley’s Racing
Products state points will also be given.
No other tracks will hold sanctioned events for the IMCA Sunoco Late Models that
night, as the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway holds its season championship for
the class the previous week and Davenport Speedway is idle for the Mississippi
Valley Fair.
Also on the Aug. 4 card at Mineral City are the regular weekly modified, stock
car, 360 modified, hobby, econo and hornet classes.
Pit passes are $20. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children,
with five and under admitted free.
