JR Motorsports puts new emphasis in contingency awards for IMCA drivers

ANKENY, Iowa (March 30) – JR Motorsports puts a new twist to its contingency awards program for its ninth season as an IMCA sponsor.

Drivers in the sanctioned Modified, SportMod, Stock Car and Hobby Stock divisions accepting engine claims or engine exchanges this year will receive discounts on the purchase of new short blocks or a complete engine freshen.

Modified drivers get $400 discounts, SportMod and Stock Car drivers get $300 discounts and Hobby Stock drivers receive $200 discounts.

Certificates will be mailed from the IMCA home office at the end of each month.

The Ankeny, Iowa, engine and chassis component manufacturer had focused awards on state and local track champions last year. JR is also IMCA’s official crate engine rebuild for the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod class.

“With the focus of the JR program on building, rebuilding or freshening IMCA engines, supporting those drivers receiving engine claims in 2007 seemed like a logical idea,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Last season we didn’t have anything in place for those drivers but this year JR wants to let those racers know they are the place to go to freshen an exchanged motor.”
