Performance Engineering & Manufacturing awards go to Deery Series pole starters UNION, Mo. (March 23) – New IMCA sponsor Performance Engineering and Manufacturing will make every pole starter in the Deery Brothers Summer Series an award winner this season. The Union, Mo., company will give a set of quick change gears to the driver taking the green flag from the inside row one spot at all 18 events in the tour for J & J Steel Late Models. “IMCA Late Model drivers are loyal to sponsors and to the Deery Series,” said Randy Harrison, PEM sales manager. “It’s good for us to become associated with them and the series.” Located an hour west of downtown St. Louis and founded 10 years ago, the company also manufactures drive train components and axles. “We have a background in drag racing and many modified drivers are already familiar with our products,” Harrison said. “We’ve got quite a few new products coming out so this company is going to grow in the next few years.” More information about those products is available by calling 636 234-0975 or at the www.pemracing.com website. Deery drivers are required to display two Performance Engineering and Manufacturing decals on their race car to be eligible; certificates will be mailed from the IMCA home office the week following each series event. The 22nd annual tour opens with a March 29-30 doubleheader during Eagle, Neb., Raceway’s Ice Breaker Challenge special. “We are looking forward to working with Performance Engineering and Manufacturing throughout the Deery Series this year, and for years to come,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “It is great to be able to offer a set of gears to the top starting position each night out and history tells us there’s a good chance it will be a different driver every night all season long.” |
