Brodix awards go to IMCA Late Model national and Deery
champions, top rookies
MENA, Ark. (March 4) – Champions and top rookie drivers in both national
standings for the IMCA Late Model division and final points for the Deery
Brothers Summer Series earn contingency awards from Brodix.
Each champion and top rookie will receive cylinder head sets from the Mena,
Ark., manufacturer.
The 2009 point season runs from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, Aug.
30. There are 22 dates scheduled in the Deery Series, which opens Saturday,
April 11 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
All drivers are required to display two Brodix decals on their race cars.
No change has been made from previous seasons in determining eligibility for
rookie of the year honors as drivers cannot have competed in more than four
sanctioned events for national or series honors.
Rookie contenders also have an Aug. 1 deadline to return a registration
form, to be published in the point sec tion of the Inside IMCA newsletter
beginning this month and posted on the IMCA website.
Information about Brodix-made cylinder heads is available by calling

"The products Brodix had provided to IMCA racers for two decades have been
the backbone of weekly Late Model racing in the Midwest,” said Kevin Yoder,
director of marketing for IMCA. “Their excellent technical support and
dedication to the program has allowed weekly racing to survive and the Deery
Brothers Summer Series to flourish as the longest and best attended Late
Model tour in the central United States."
