BSB signs on as sponsor for IMCA Modifieds, Deery Series

WELLINGTON, Kan. (March 23) – A business that got its start 15 years ago in owner Jay Neal’s garage is the newest sponsor for IMCA Modified special and series events, and the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models.

BSB Manufacturing will award $50 product certificates to designated place finishers at 30 designated special events, as well at all features in the EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Northern Tour, the Rotating Right Wild West Southern Tour, Larry Shaw Racing Blood, Sweat and Tears Series, the World Products Empire State Series and the Big Dog Dakota Classic Tour.

The Deery Series champion earns a $250 product certificate and a 30 percent discount on all purchases for the 2010 race season. The runner-up gets a $200 product certificate and 20 percent discount, and the third place driver in points gets a $150 certificate.

Certificates for $50 will also be given to designated place finishers at each of the 22 events in the upcoming Late Model tour.

In addition to bird cages, BSB makes rear end components and retails a variety of high performance parts and Simpson firesuits.

“A lot of IMCA drivers are already current customers. We’ve grown in that market and are well-known there,” Neal said. “We gave awards in the Blood, Sweat and Tears Series last year and I’ve been to Super Nationals. IMCA has the best coverage out there. They’ve always treated us very well.”

Neal built parts for a five-car team while working at a machine shop.

He developed an engine closeup kit that was marketed through Speedway Motors and expanded to a building in the local industrial park.

BSB manufactured a unique bird cage for Late Models before branching out with more products designed for Modified use.

“A lot of our advertising has been by word of mouth,” said Neal. “Our shock program is still new in the market and I feel it’s one of the best out there. We specialize in individualized programs for racers, plus we have a rebuild service for just about every builder out there.”

Information about BSB products is available by calling 620 326-3152 and at the www.bsb-mfg.com website.

"We know BSB has worked with some individual IMCA race teams in the past and now it is great for us to develop that relationship with them as a sanctioning body,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Their support will definitely add value to our Deery Brothers Summer Series and various Modified tours and we couldn't be more pleased to be working with them in 2009."
