features highlight three Frostbuster specials
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (March 27) – A trio of early April Frostbuster specials
get the new race season started at three Iowa tracks.
IMCA Modified features on Friday, April 3 at Marshalltown Speedway,
Saturday, April 4 at Hamilton County Speed way in Webster City and Sunday,
April 5 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton each pay $1,000 to win and are
quali fying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win Friday and Sunday; Karl Chevrolet
Northern SportMods chase $300 top checks and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vie
for $250 in first place money all three nights.
Winners of Mach-1 Sport Compact features on Saturday and Sunday pocket $125.
National, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products State points will be given
at all three shows.
Pit gates at Marshalltown open at 4:30 p.m., grandstands open at 5 p.m., hot
laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Hamilton County opens the gates at 1:30 p.m. and the grandstand at 2 p.m.
Hot laps are at 3:30 p.m., with racing to follow.
Both the gates and the grandstand at Vinton open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at
4:30 p.m. and racing begins at 5 p.m.
