Ten dates scheduled for IMCA’s Jackpot Junction Sprint Tour
KASOTA, Minn. (March 30) – Ten events are on the schedule for the upcoming
Jackpot Junction Tour.
IMCA KSE Racing Products Sprint Cars will visit four Minnesota tracks before
the 13th annual tour concludes during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super
Nationals at Boone Speedway.
First-ever shows at Elko Speedway will be July 22-23 during the inaugural
Dirt Nationals. The sanctioned winged class returns to Jackson Speedway and
the Jackson Nationals on Aug. 21.
Arlington Raceway and Redwood Speedway both host three shows.
Opening night for the tour is May 23 at Arlington, also the site of July 18
and September 5 events. Races at Redwood are May 24, July 19 and Sept. 6.
The Super Nationals finale is Sept. 8.
All events will pay $600 to win and the champion pockets a $1,000 share of
the $4,650 series point fund.
“We’re thrilled to be part of big-time formats like the Dirt Nationals,
Jackson Nationals and Super Nationals,” Tour Director Bob Allen said.
“Events like these give incredible exposure not only to individual drivers
but to the division as a whole.”
National and special series points will be given at each race; Smiley’s
Racing Products State points will be awarded at all nine events in
Minnesota.
In addition, local track points are at stake for races at Arlington and
Redwood.
Shannon Eriksen is the defending tour champion. Curt Lund now leads all
drivers with 17 career wins on the Jackpot Junction circuit.
