Night of 1,000 Stars rained out, rescheduled for Aug. 13
BRITT, Iowa (Aug. 6) – IMCA feature events for the Night of 1,000 Stars
special at Hancock County Speedway will have to wait another week.
Rain forced postponement of both the $3,000 to win IMCA Modified feature and
the $400 to win IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature until next Thursday, Aug. 13.
Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
Rain checks and arm bands given tonight will be honored
All qualifying was completed before wet weather moved in this evening. Heavy
hitters Mark Noble, John Logue and Jeremy Mills will make up the front row
for the 40-lap Modified main. Ryan Hiscocks and Jeff Dolphin start up front
for the Stock Car contest.
The 15th annual special is sponsored by Doug Studer Farms. The Modified
winner qualifies for the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
