Mike "The Pirate" Pruitt Wins IMCA's Northern SportMods
at Super Nationals With EQ Cylinder Heads

BOONE, IA (October 12) - Mike Pruitt led the distance in winning the 25 lap Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main event at Boone Speedway during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

Pruitt, nicknamed The Pirate, changed to the EngineQuest (EQ) spec Chevy 350 cylinder heads in his SportMod and has produced multiple wins this year. EQ is an exclusive supplier of spec Chevy cylinder heads for IMCAs Northern and Southern SportMod, and Hobby Stock classes, and the title sponsor of the EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Modified Tour.

"Mike is a great racer and an even better person. We're very pleased that he changed to our Spec Chevy 350 cylinder heads (CH350I) this year. The dramatic increase in wins and top 5's is proof he made a good choice." says Mark Moore, EQ's director of sales. "As the only cylinder head manufactured in Australia by a tier 1 supplier, our heads provide numerous benefits that translates to wins on the track.

Utilizing proprietary Flow Cast Technology, these high performance cylinder heads have a thicker deck for added strength, Dura-Bond exhaust seats for greater resistance to cracking, and a redesigned water flow system for improved thermal conductivity. With CNC machined guides and seats, a superior port finish for increased flow, and a three angle valve finish, EQ's cylinder heads offer the best of both worlds - OE fit and improved performance.
