VINTON, Iowa (Dec. 17) – A first ever visit to Dubuque Speedway is on the schedule for the 24th annual Deery Brothers Summer Series. The 2010 IMCA Late Model tour is at Dubuque on Sunday, April 18. In all, the series boasts 16 dates, with 34 Raceway’s $3,000 to win Slocum 50 opening the action on April 10. The West Burlington track again hosts the traditional tour finale, the $10,000 to win Pepsi USA Nationals Sept. 17-18. Quincy Raceway’s June 13 Titan Wheel & Tire Shootout becomes part of the series, paying $3,000 to win. The tour returns to Farley Speedway on June 18, for the first time since 2003. West Burlington, Quincy and Boone Speedway will each host a pair of series events. The IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals event at Boone is set for Sept. 6. In addition to Dubuque and Farley, the tour also makes single stops at Davenport Speedway, Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Marshalltown Speedway, Independence Motor Speedway, Knoxville Raceway, Southern Iowa Speedway at Oskaloosa, the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines and Lee County Speedway in Donnellson. Late Models will be paired with Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods at Knoxville, on the second night of the Harris Clash. All events except the Slocum 50, the Titan Shootout and the Pepsi USA Nationals will pay $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. Non- qualifiers will get $100. "This year's schedule should be really favorable for racers and requires drivers to take off as few days of work as we have had for many years,” noted Tour Director Kevin Yoder. “With the schedule now announced, we are working on some new and exciting contingency programs for the series that we hope to be able to announce in January.” “Those programs will provide some great incentives for racers to attend every show and put some money back in their pocket throughout the summer,” he added. “We are eager to get the season underway, visit a new track and put on great shows for race fans across the Midwest." The defending series champion will be Jeff Aikey, who won his career sixth Deery title in 2009. 2010 Deery Brothers Summer Series Schedule Saturday, April 10 at 34 Raceway, West Burlington, Iowa Sunday, April 11, at Quincy Raceway, Quincy, Ill.
