Triple Frostbuster starts season at three IA tracks
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (February 11) – An early April triple header of
Frostbuster specials will start the new race season at three Iowa tracks.
IMCA Modified features on Friday, April 2 at Marshalltown Speedway,
Saturday, April 3 at Boone Speed way and Sunday, April 4 at Benton County
Speedway in Vinton each pay $1,000 to win and are qualifying events for the
Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern
SportMods vie for $300 top checks and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase $250 in
first place money each night. The winner of Sunday’s Mach-1 Sport Compact
feature earns $125.
National, regional and Allstar Performance state points will be given at all
three shows. Entry fees each night are $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars
and $20 for SportMods and for Hobby Stocks.
Pit passes are $25.
Gates at Marshalltown open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 p.m., hot laps
are at 6:15 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Boone opens the gates at 2 p.m. and the grandstand at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at
4 p.m., with racing at 5 p.m.
Both the gates and the grandstand at Vinton open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at
3:30 p.m. and racing begins at 4 p.m.
