IMCA track champions earn Axle Exchange contingency awards

DES MOINES, Iowa (Feb. 23) – Track champions in five IMCA divisions earn contingency awards again this season from Axle Exchange.

Top drivers in local point standings for the IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMod classes all receive $50 product certificates from the Des Moines, Iowa, manufacturer of the Fast Shaft brand of drive shafts.

Certificates with an approximate value of $14,500 will be mailed after point standings become official in late October.

Axle Exchange also returns as sponsor of the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational and will furnish a portion of the $4,000 purse to be paid to drivers elected to the field for the Sept. 10 special during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals, and to the national decal program for Stock Cars.

The 10 Modified drivers elected to the All-Star field and all Stock Car drivers must display two Fast Shafts decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.

The company’s product line also includes a variety of steel or aluminum drive shafts, lightweight center sections and Ford 9” rear ends. Axle Exchange also repairs drive shafts. More information about those products and services is available by calling 800 622-6617 and at the www.fastshafts.com website.

"The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational was the first race of its kind in the country and continues to generate excitement all year long,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We are proud to partner with Pat Fagen and Axle Exchange in the presentation of this event and the support they provide our weekly racers is really the engine that drives this complete program."
