ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (March 1) – Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers pursue Petersen Aluminum contingency awards again in 2010. Both the champion and rookie of the year of the 24th annual IMCA Late Model tour receive 10 sheets of aluminum from the Elk Grove, Ill., manufacturer. The winner of the Sept. 6 event during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals at Boone Speedway receives the same prize. Petersen manufactures and sells painted aluminum and mill finish aluminum sheets, extrusions and stainless steel. Information about those products and their racing applications is available at the www.pac-racing.com website and by calling 800 323-1960. Two Petersen Aluminum decals must be displayed on the race car for drivers to be eligible. Those decals will be available during pre-race tech inspection at all 16 events on the upcoming schedule, beginning with opening night April 10 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington. "The Deery Brothers Summer Series will be as competitive as ever this year and with a new crop of skilled rookie drivers in the mix, the battle for Petersen awards should be as intense as we have seen it,” said Kevin Yoder, marketing and tour director for IMCA. “We appreciate Petersen's renewed commitment to the longest running series in the Midwest." Jeff Aikey won his career sixth Deery Series champion in 2009 and Justin Kay earned rookie of the year honors. Ray Guss Jr. paced the Super Nationals feature.
